What brought you to YPP?                                                                                                                                                  I came to YPP about two years ago when I was looking for a summer job.

What have you learned from YPP?                                                                                                                                   In my time at YPP, I’ve learned how to be more patient, and I’ve learned how much more progress I need to make before I am where I want to be.

What can you do now that you couldn’t do before?                                                                                                          That I can do now that I couldn’t before is say that I’ve done something to help those around me.

What are some marketable skills you have been taught and how have you applied to them in school and at work?     One very marketable skill that I’ve gained from working at YPP is the ability to explain concepts to people more clearly, and to be more understanding of the mindsets of the people around me. I’ve applied this in school to help myself study the basics of the classes that I’m taking. In work, I’ve applied these abilities by making sure that the kids I serve are learning properly, and that the MLWs that I work with get as much support as I can offer them.

What do you enjoy most about YPP?                                                                                                                          Something I like the most about YPP is that the environment is relaxed but serious. There is always someone making a joke, and it is more enjoyable to work on planning and brainstorming when everyone is in a good mood.
