What is a S.T.E.A.M. Day?
Fun and educational workshops which provide a hands on preview into S.T.E.A.M. related skills and career paths.

At S.T.E.A.M workshops high school students will…
Learn a key competency, lead by a creative class professional or artist.
At STEAM days, students are introduced to an innovation/STEAM competency, such as a Coding 101, through a creative hands on activity.

….then apply the new skills in simulated experiences.
Key features of the activity are design and entrepreneurial thinking (in a fixed period of time.) Innovative, interactive teaching methods like timed simulations, where students are presented with a real-world situation and rapid prototyping/testing methods lead to alternative solutions, emphasize the value of effective teamwork, and ultimately lead to active, involved and engaged students.
