What are your interests?
I'm really into music and technology. Most days, you can find me wearing big headphones and listening to an entire album from start to finish. Either that, or reading about new phones, computers and video games online.
What brought you to AtlantaAPYPP? How long have you been with them?
I first started as a College Literacy Worker when I was attending Morehouse College in the Summer of 2015 and left when I graduated in 2016. After teaching high school Physics for a few years, I was welcomed back under the AP/YPP umbrella as an experienced Algebra Project teacher. With this experience, I now train the AP/YPP curriculum to other Math teachers and Literacy Workers.
What have you learned from AtlantaAPYPP?
The most important thing that I've learned from working with AP/YPP is that it's ok to make mistakes and even more important to verbalize those mistakes. In addition to helping yourself gain clarity, it helps others become more comfortable experimenting with new thought processes.
What do you enjoy the most from AtlantaAPYPP?
The sense of community that AtlantaAPYPP creates is what I enjoy the most about the organization. Everyone is always so welcoming and immediately makes everyone around them feel comfortable.
