My name is Luis Santos and I am a Junior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin. I was walking around my school campus and I was approached by two CMLWs who began building a friendship with me. They began talking to me about YPP and how the program helps young people learn math through hands on activities. Unfortunately I have been one of those students who have fallen through the cracks. My educational experience has not been the best and I do not want anyone else to have the same experience I have had. I want to help guide young people and help build their self-esteem. Growing up I never had the inspiration to do well in school or to think about math in a different light. I wish I had YPP when I was young and I am fortunate now to have the opportunity to help out someone else.
