I'm Nikita Miner a future high school junior and Math Literacy Worker. I play trombone in my high school's Marching band and Symphonic band. I love to write short stories and poems and when I graduate I'd like to enroll in a successful writing program. My top college choices are University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Northwestern University.
The experiences I’ve shared with YPP and everyone involved has felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity. The stars aligned and every Wednesday we celebrated our triumphs and losses with each other all while operating on a great cause. We've become this huge family that came together to annex the young ones of our future, while we are youngsters ourselves. Kaitlin, Natalie, Angela, and Andrea are my heroes besides my top pick, Jesus. I wasn't too interested in college before YPP, I was more interested in going to Japan for all the Hot Guys, lol! But by being around you guys i know that college is the only way to go for me, It is something that is possible, reachable and something I can do for myself besides an oppurtunity that everyone tells me to take on. I didn't have high standards for myself, I expected what my mom expected of me, nothing more and nothing less, but through YPP I've realized i can do something, i can put a smile on someones face by being me, since being me is all i can be. So from the bottom of my heart i thank you, for all that you've done for me.
