Saturday, April 16th marked the 2nd annual YPP Michigan League Day Math Competition. This year we are competing in Road-Coloring where all 5 sites will get to compete with each other. Ypsilanti High School, Huron High School and Scarlett Middle School, Wayne-Memorial High School and the Algebra Project at Ypsilanti High School. Outreach of Huron High School at Scarlett Middle School started in February in South Ann Arbor, while Wayne-Memorial High School started in March at Adams Upper Elementary School. Outreach of Lincoln High School at Lincoln Middle School is slated to start before the end of April. Ypsilanti High School and the Algebra Project will start outreach in May. YPP MI is currently working with colleagues at UM-Flint to get YPP started in Flint for the next academic year. There are also efforts in Detroit to organize college students at the universities located there.
