5 Steps on Monday

Ironically it seems like I have chosen one of the most difficult days to blog.

Energy seemed to be at an all time low today in our workspace, we all seem to be in the process of recuperating from having 1.5 days off, so honestly it is just that regular Monday at work which seems to drag by.

We started off the day with the 5 step process using Trip Line as the subject. From Trip Line we tookan event and asked a question that could be answered using in five steps that would help you to have a more vivid understanding of the situation at hand. We used the teambuilders from Friday and ranked them in term of difficulty.

The question that we had to answer was "How much harder was Activity A than Activity B"? The steps that we went through were as follows:

People Talk--> Describing the event in your own words, the way you understand,

Key features-->
What are you focusing on in this situation,

Feature Talk-->
Make a word equation that will allow you to form a symbolic and numerical representation,

Symbolic Representation-->
A symbol or symbolic representation to represent the situation at hand and a numerical representation which represents situations in numbers.

Doing a number of activities using the trip line proved to be very tiring. After a lunch break which was 30 minutes late...WHEW!, we went back to work. We did another example involving the trip line and then we went on to the T-point workshop by Naama. The workshop was fun and kept us active and interested. After doing a number of activities we wrapped up for the day. At the end of the evening session we went to our rooms and had to plan for facilitation workshops due to begin tomorrow. Needless to say Monday night was a welcoming thing for all of us we were glad it was over....especially us who are homesick. Hopefully tomorrow will be a tad more exciting.
