The Young People's Project is hosting a summer camp at Ohio State University-Mansfield that will help to empower and help Eighth Graders at Malabar Middle School to excel in Mathematics.
OSU-Mansfield Associate Professor of Mathematics Lee McEwan says they received a five-year grant which will help start a math project at Mansfield Senior High School. McEwan says this project will allow for students to receive double-time in mathematics, which will be five days a week and 90 minutes a day.
McEwan says the goal of the program is to help students who struggle in math become successful in math, so they can get into college.
